Rapé brings you to a place of acute attention and awareness. The mind becomes quieter, negativity clears out, and emotional tensions release.

People often feel more grounded during the experience, allowing them to clear up confusion or discomfort about an issue they may have been experiencing.

If you focus on the intention you set, you may easily find what you were looking for, be it a state of consciousness or an answer to a question.

Your mind gets purged of everything it needs to let go of. The body often follows suit.

Hapé or Rapé is a shamanic snuff used for thousands of years for sacred and spiritual practices. Sacred plants are blended together into a fine light-coloured powder. It has different effects and uses and all recipes are kept secret by the shaman.

The setting to take Rapè is essential. Create a ceremonial space, (candle, palo santo etc), meditate to help align your mindset and set your intention. Rapè isn’t inhaled or snorted but blown through the nose forcefully with a pipe. The type of breath (length, force), also impacts on the experience. This information is for entertainment purposes only.

Always start with a very small amount to start your practice.

Self-Administration

Experienced users may use a Kuripe, which is a personal pipe with a sharp ‘v-angle’ that allows you to blow the snuff into your nose. The Ajooni team can provide training in a ceremonial setting.

Gently pour into the palm of your hand and scoop half of the hapé into your Kuripe pipe. Start your deep, calm breathing from your mouth only. With the Kuripe loaded with the Hapè, inhale a deep breath and hold it while placing the longer of the pipe comfortably into the left nostril and the shorter end between the lips. With eyes closed gently inhale the breath, blowing the hapé up the left nostril first. Exhale through the mouth and as soon as possible/on the next inhale blow up the right nostril.

After application, sit for 5 to 10 minutes, breathing through your mouth in meditation. You will feel the effects of the plant through your body. Most people experience watery eyes due to the sensitivity of the nose, and also because Rapé is a purgative for many. That said, occasionally people experience crying, extra salivation, sneezing, vomiting, or the need to have a bowel movement. Once complete, blow your nose and remove any excess mucus through the mouth. Breathing again through the nose feels great and you can continue your meditation or end the process.

Serving Others

A very powerful ceremony as your experience is enhanced with the intention of the server. The server uses a Tepi pipe and follows the same process as above.

May become hot to touch. Do not move a lit candle. Ensure the candle is on a heat-resistant surface. Trim the wick to 5mm before relighting. Do not allow the candle to burn to the base of the vessel. Store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. Failure to follow these instructions could result in a fire hazard or injury.

Usage Instructions

1. Remove all packaging before use.

2. Light your sage at a 45º angle with your candle, and let it burn for 10-20 seconds.

3. Fan out the flame so only embers remain, and smoke will follow.

Add a couple of teaspoons of simmering granules to your burner. As the granules heat up, the aroma fills the room. The fragrance from the salt crystals will evaporate into the air leaving the residue in place. For a stronger scent, simply add more granules.

Keep out of reach of children and pets.

Boil a big pot of water and pour in the herbs, letting it simmer for about an hour. Take off the pot and let cool, and then strain the bath.

To apply, use one cup of the bath every time you shower, you can use it multiple times in one day.

Gently towel dry and then pour the plant bath over your body and let it air dry, allowing the plants to seep into your pores.

Do this with prayer & intention, calling forth the power of the plants to heal & help you to release pain, trauma, and bitterness and attract sweetness, joy, and blessings.

21 Day Protocol

To complete a 21 day protocol please purchase 2 sweet bath blend bags and 1 bitter bath blend bag. Each herbal bath bag includes enough plants for 7 days of baths. Please follow the directions on label packaging; for each bag of plants, expect about 3.5-4 litres of plant bath. Use about 0.5 litres of liquid every day for a week.

7 Days of Sweet Bath, followed by 7 Days Bitter Bath, followed by 7 Days Sweet Bath.

Book a Yoni cleanse with Ajooni here (recommended for first timers).

In a medium-covered pot, pour 8 cups of water (preferably purified water).

Place one handful of fresh herb(s) 2-3 tablespoons of dried herbs into the water. Do not add or use “essential oils” as they are too strong and may burn sensitive genital tissue.

Bring water to a soft boil for 5 minutes.

Turn off the heat, leave the lid on, and steep for another 5 minutes with the lid on.

Pour water with herbs into a bowl.

Test the temperature of the steam before using it. If it is too hot wait 15 seconds and test it again until it feels comfortably warm to steam with.

Remove your underwear and stand or squat directly over the bowl of steaming water. Some people prefer to place the bowl in the toilet and then sit on the toilet. If placing the bowl in the toilet, be sure to clean the toilet thoroughly beforehand.

Drape a large blanket or sheet around your waist down to the floor making sure no steam escapes.

Steam for 20-30 minutes.

Once session is completed, release medicinal herbs in compost, or (recommended) offer gratitude and thanks to the medicine of the herbs, give them back to the Earth.

DO NOT STEAM IF YOU ARE PREGNANT OR THINK YOU MAY BE PREGNANT.

It is not recommended to steam if you have an IUD or during menstruation.
